Hello guys,
I see that there have been no postings since October... and I haven't seen a book since I sent two onward on 3rd February. Maybe my expectations were wrong... I expected this to be a project that might be reasonably fast-moving-- each person hanging on to a book for a week or two or may be a month at the most. Or if they have too many other commitments, then doing something spontaneous the day they get it and keep it moving.... ah well.
Have a great Xmas and a Happy New Year everybody,
Rowland

聖誕快樂新年如意 メリークリスマス あげましておめでとう!!!
I have somewhat better luck than you, Rowland. My last time hanging onto a book was this September. All of the works posted here/seen in actual notebooks out of this group have been brilliant so far. But the wait is frustrating... it's hard to decide what to say. "Just do something in your book, and move on!" or "Please take as much time as you want, it's worth the wait." ?????
Well, in any case, I would just like to hear something again from the group.
Wishing everybody a warm holiday season.
Yesssss me too I would like to hear something again from the group.....
I don't nkow where my book is and I haven't seen a book since Jan's book in... MARCH !
So I would say: take your time but please move on? :-)
Oo, do you have my book?
Happy new year to everybody !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey guys, hang in there.....I have faith in this group, we are strong..... things will pick up again.
Agree that not hearing anything for a long while can be frustrating. At a minimum it would be good to know who has who's. I mailed Jans away in October.
Safe a happy holidays to all!

I admire your optimism.... but ten months have passed since I saw a book... seriously, I think my expectations were different from other people's .. I expected to receive things a BIT more frequently ...It all seems to have reached a block... and I think those people who have held on to books for more than a month-and I understand that people have many commitments-we all do... they could either do something quickly or simply pass the books on ... that's not too much to ask I think . . if it was done like that we could have done two 'rounds' in this amount of time!!!
I'm very sad to see this group go stale as well. Does anyone know where the weak links are?
e
How about this? Let's adhere to the one-month turnaround time a lot more closely than we have (if you HAVE TO take 6 weeks instead of 4 once in a while... then fine...) but before the end of your second month with the book, you MUST pass it on regardless of your progress. This means, EVEN you haven't done anything or have unfinished work in it. The group won't go stale but at the same time, nobody has to quit the group even if life/work gets hectic for 6 months or so: Everybody is allowed some time to be missing-in-action, just jump back in whenever you are ready.
Personally, I think unfinished works are fun.
I have never seen a book for this group apart from the original group when I did Jan's book.
I guess because of other groups where I haven't seen my book for years, I tend to push the whole exchange thing to the back of my mind most of the time (except when I think about my lost moleskine, then I get a bit grumpy because it is lost because the person didn't check my address), Anyhoo!
A month turn around is a good idea. I would happily stick to it.
Hi, hope your Christmas has been good. I have two books, one is going out to niniji today. Sorry, for the hold up, due to some health issues this half a year year has made things difficult, not impossible! I have started the second book, but it will take me about 14 days to get the next done.
EWian
OK Ewian, thank you for your comment and I wish you a good health this new year!!! Which book is it that you are still working on?
And also: thank you for your postcard! I enjoyed it!
Barbara
I think it would help to link posts to our personal emailaddresses so people would keep up and be reminded without having to go and look at the blog. But I don't know how to do that. Can someone take care of that? What do you think?
yeh i'm quite sad about this moleskin exchange. I know most of us try to be quick with the turnarounds. I tend to do the same so that I don't hold up the group.
What I've posted on the site are the only books i've seen or worked on:( I've not had a book since May 2011! And I have no idea where my own book is. Has it even left australia?? Jan, have you still got my book? Let me know xox
