Hi Everybody !
I received Oo's and Helena's book yesterday from Rowand! They look great, but... Oo's book is totally full already. Rowland why did you fill up 9 pages in Oo's book? I tought we agreed to fill up maximum 3 pages to leave room for others? How about me, Jennifer, Ewian and Niniji who still had to paint something?
Please don't fill up more than 3 pages... !
I'm sorry to have to write this but I 'm dissapointed...
Pity because I love this watercolor paper and I was looking forward to paint in this wonderfull book :-(
Oo can you make me one? How can you get this long paper so flat??
So I send oo's book back to USA.

Or should I continue at the back of the paper? But it shines trought and containes spots and stains and signatures.
Oo do you want a two-sided moly?

Anyway I propose one doesn't fill up more than 3 pages?

Hi Barbara,

I'm not sure but I think you've misunderstood what I've done- the colour washes were already there and worked on top of them! So I actually 'added' only two pages!! In fact, I think I was the one who suggested only three pages....

I think those color washes were done by oO when he started the book. (similarly, when ya'll get my book, you'll also see that I have left a bit of something on nearly every page already, just mingle~)
Once again, I'd love to see us interact more in the notebooks. Lovely job, Rowland!

Don't send the book back Barbara, I'd love to see how you and the rest collaborate with the drawings and the watercolour washes! xoxo

Sometimes I get one of the moleskines and it seems filled...but then I find a blank area somewhere...and I draw within the drawings. And to me that is quite fun and challenging! Can't wait to see your work!!

And great line drawings rowland! So excited!

Oh were the color washes there already indeed? OK then I'm really sorry Rowland for my post. OK I'll find some room or go to the back of the pages. I'ts good paper so it should work as well! OK thank you everybody for your comments and encouragements! Great to read you!

I had actually kick-started a bunch of pages with washes and things, in case people had a bad episode of blank-page-itis. Also I think the whole fun of the exchange is to layer things on top of each other, starting from someone's drawing and taking it somewhere else by adding something around/on top of and all that.... modify away.

BTW, to answer your question, i can certainly make a watercolor paper moleskine for you, I would just need to figure out what the material costs are ( moleskine + sheet of watercolor paper )

Effectively I'm starting from a A2 sized sheet of watercolour paper ( or whatever the large size is, you want the strips to be as long as possible ) and cut it in strips that are the height of the moleskine paper ( roughly 14cm if I remember correctly ) then I score the sheet every 9cm ( the width of the accordeon) and fold in alternate directions. You usually need 2 or 3 strips of paper which are glued together, depending on how thick the paper is.

It's actually pretty simple. :-)
