Jenn's entry - Jan's book

Well this took longer than anticipated.......
I had a great deal of difficulty following Barbara's entry.....so beautiful, delicate and full of meaning. Seemed anything that I tried to do was shallow in comparison.
It's mostly gouache with felt pen over it. The purple flower (columbine) was done on watercolor paper and cut out.
Will mail asap.
Hope all are well.

I think it's superb Jenn, the flowers really do blend in with Barb's illo...it almost feels like deep inside the woods...is the enchanting purple flower garden! hehe!

hello! hello! how's everyone been?
well I was in this neat handmade store in Costa Mesa called SEED this other day and happened to have walked in on an accordion notebook-making workshop. neat huh? The instructor is Jeannine Stein, and this is her blog: http://jeanninestein.typepad.com/. There are some neat craft ideas (that I didn't know about) on her blog, for those of you interested in bookbinding.

Anyhow~ I've been without a book for two months now. Hope to get one from EWian soon.(when you are not too busy, that is) :-)
