I have taken: Rowland's cat and coffee, Barbara's calligraphy, Jenn's lion, my daruma, oO's girl, Jan's family ghosts, and Emma's monsters. I can still add other people's works into the mix of chaos later when their books make their debut here, or we can use this banner as our banner now. But most importantly, do you guys like this idea?

I've a more graphic based idea I'm planning to work on in the next day or two, if there's not too much hurry for a new design. With the holidays over we may all have more time to spare and feel less pressured.

I like it. I always enjoy when the banner changes whenever anyone feels like changing it so I say go for it.
thanks guys ^^~ I went ahead and changed it, so at least it gets some use before Rowland brings out his idea XDDD. I agree with Jan, we can change our banner as often as we feel like (as long as the notebooks are moving too). Fresh look is always inspiring~~~

Looks nice, my only comment would be to use a different filter for the text, since it is above everything. turning up the contrast so it is black on white and then using multiply instead of overlay, would prevent all the other drawings from being so washed out.
Apart from that, nice work.
I agree that to make the text more legible would help.... and I'll put something forward soon. Let's be fair I doubt that we'd all get to agree on a single design so a moveable feast is a great idea!!! Visual democracy in 2011 :-)

I like it when the banner is all personalised. No doubt you guys/girls know a thing or three about digital art work as well.
